Genesis
The first book of the Bible shifts the focus of Literature Humanities from the world of Ancient Greece to that of the Judeo-Christian tradition with its story about the origin of the world and the early ancestral history of the Jewish people. With stories about the expulsion of Adam and Eve from the Garden, the slaying of Abel by his brother Cain, and the flood, Genesis explores the themes of sin, pride, and punishment, as well as the covenants that define the history of a people.
